Update:

1-6-2026:

Unfortunately, there has been an additional delay. U.S. Customs postponed releasing the container for dispatch back to Hong Kong which is now scheduled for January 13. As a result, our shipping agent will not receive and reconfigure the container until approximately January 31.

Once reconfigured, the shipment will be sent back to us via sea freight, with delivery now estimated for mid-February.

We did carefully evaluate alternative options, including air freight. However, we were advised that switching to air freight would require removing the shipment from the existing container, shipping back to China from Hong Kong, re-palletizing it to meet air freight requirements, and booking new customs clearance appointments and flights. While air freight may be faster in some cases, in this situation it would likely take the same amount of time (or potentially longer) than sea freight since the container shipping has already been scheduled to be shipped back to the US once it lands.

As a point of reassurance, a separate shipment we sent for sea transit on December 20th has cleared customs and is now out for delivery today (January 6, 18 day transit). This reassures that sea freight shipments are moving reliably again and within expected transit times.

We know how frustrating these delays can be and truly appreciate your continued patience. We’ll keep you informed as things progress, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

TL;DR U.S. Customs delayed releasing the container back to our freight forwarder, pushing the return to China to January 13. Reconfiguration will be completed by January 31, with redelivery to us now estimated for mid-February via sea freight.

We explored air freight, but due to additional handling and clearance steps, it would likely take the same amount of time or longer. Recent sea freight shipments are moving reliably again, and we’ll continue to share updates as things progress.

12-22-2025:

The shipment entered U.S. Customs on 12/05 and was randomly selected for a manual inspection. While our pallet was cleared during the inspection process, we were later informed on 12/18 that the container was ultimately rejected by customs even though our shipment was deemed cleared. This means that the entire container including our shipment must be returned to our freight forwarder in China. Our shipping agent has been actively coordinating this process and has already secured a reshipment back to us. The updated estimated arrival date to the US is January 14th and will start to undergo clearance then. We understand how frustrating delays like this can be and truly appreciate your patience. We’ll continue to keep you informed as the shipment moves forward, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
